Everything in nature is a continuous process, from the movement of heavenly bodies to the life and death of organisms. Life does not suffer absolute destruction because of death, but continues to exist in the surrounding world and coexist with it. Life existed before there was life, and after there was no life, life and nature would continue to be born. Every moment of life, there are countless tendrils of life, all have infinite extension of time. We were born alone, and countless lives and infinite time pieces by pieces. The flow of hearts buried in each other, praying in loneliness, looking out at the broken place, or hoping to be reunited in a dream. Life is a prison. Time is the sky beyond the cage.

Forbidden City
I painted the Forbidden City on the transparent film with my unique painting technique. I made this painting to be totally transparent, so it can be displayed on top of window and overlapped with the background cityscape. When the images of two different architectures from different time-space overlap on each other, a new visual observation experience is created. This visual interaction between two architectures brings a new mode of cultural communication, The population migration becomes more normal under the globalization background. The challenge for the new immigrants are not only the new living environment, but also the cultural integration.

Tree of Life
I create paintings with visual narratives about relationships between humans and our environment, historical moments and contemporary events. I visually express the effects of catastrophic events on the human body in a beautiful and poetic way. My unorthodox use of oil paint on nontraditional surfaces allows me to create artificial cellular structures that divide the images into a mosaic texture. The transparency of materials brings a light source to the urban landscape; hence a new form of observation is created. This form exposes the biology of the images as a social metaphor. I try to bring a different visual experience for viewers to ponder the questions about the consequences of human behavior in a wider time-space continuum.

I scanned the X-ray pictures of people from different races, with different jobs, and used them as digital collage to recompose a typical, traditional Chinese landscape painting. When different X-ray images overlap on top of each other, the individual identity becomes very vague, and the commonality and inclusivity are shown in our sight. It is just like the structure in this landscape painting, countless individuals together build up an entirely different scene. The traditional Chinese landscape painting is a culture signature in the philosophy of “Dao”, which represents a spirit of universal harmony. I think this spirit is the core platform of the communications between different races
