On April 23, 2017, "Eye Art 2017 International Youth Exhibition” officially launched in Upenn Wharton China Center, Beijing Worldwide Financial Center . which also marks the Eye Art international tour officially began, After that, this Youth Exhibition will be in Israel Tel Aviv and the headquarters of United Nations, blooming global youth creative inspiration.
“The concept “Eye Art” of "Eye Art 2017 International Youth Exhibition” originated from a famous artist Rodin's words: "En somme, la Beauté est partout. Ce n'est point elle qui manque à nos yeux, mais nos yeux qui manquent à l’apercevoir.” Young people express the observation and sentiment of the contemporary era through the works of art,searching for the beauty of the soul and confidant. It is the Eye Art Youth Exhibition’s philosophy.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, there were representatives of the UN-HABITAT Youth Empowerment and Urban Ecological Security Committee, Jia Liyuan, Secretary General of the Institute of Mural Art, National Art Institute of the National Academy of Art, Professor Yuan Jia, Professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Director of the Center, Wang Chunchen, International Consultant of the University of Pennsylvania, He Yu Ping, Director of the Wharton Center of the University of Pennsylvania, and Zhang Jie, Deputy Research Librarian of the Capital Museum. Guests have affirmed the Eye Art International Youth Exhibition’s vision of appealing young artists and building a global art youth exchange platform for a better communication.
"The Eye Art International Organizing Committee selected 50 works from nearly 800 entries and exhibited in Beijing, and we hope that the creation could start from China, express the dialogue and understanding of young people 's world culture." Feng Feng,the initiator of the International Youth Exhibition said.
As one of the Eye Art international adviser, the famous curator Wang Chunchen said: “Although nowadays we have a lot of young art exhibition, to some extent, our artistic perspective is not open enough, easy to be limited within our own knowledge level. More and more young people received higher art education and we can find more prominent artists. Whether these artists can develop and create continually are the problems. 'Eye Art' team is young but willing to continue to promote the real good young art contribution, so as a recommender I hope to find more shocking masterpiece. Young art should be more brave, more innovative , to do the ultimate, to make ordinary become art.
Eye Art International Exhibition Consists of: “Eye Art general Exhibition”, “Eye Art Invitation Exhibition” and “Eye Art Public Benefit Exhibition” . The exhibited artwork will be strictly selected by the organizing committee and presented at the United Nations exhibition. Wang Chunchen encourage young people to adhere to the choice of art by showing the real case of his father's devotion to art field.
The Eye Art 2017 International Youth Exhibition promotes the expression, dialogue and understanding of the contemporary culture of the world through the "Art Salon", "Exhibition" and "Public Participation", and conveys the good wishes of building a future prosperous cultural landscape. Against this backdrop, on February 22, 2017, the UN-HABITAT Youth Empowerment and Urban Security Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Eye Art International to promote the theme of "Youth Empowerment" for the century.
